The Scottish executive has announced a £10m investment into preventive care programmes, to help improve local NHS services.

The aim of the programme is to increase the rate of health improvement in deprived communities, by improving primary community services to deliver anticipatory care; identifying and targeting those at particular risk of preventable serious ill-health; and offering appropriate interventions and services to them.
