As part of a long-term managed equipment service partnership with Somerset Foundation Trust, Ergéa has supported the development of the new £17.8m Bridgwater Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), which will transform access to care in Bridgwater and across Somerset.

Following the groundbreaking ceremony in late October, the project has progressed at an impressive pace. All modular units were delivered and installed before Christmas 2025, meaning the development has entered the new year firmly on track and well positioned to support the centre’s planned opening later this spring.

Within a remarkably short timeframe, the building structure has been completed using modern methods of construction, and internal fit-out is progressing rapidly. Once operational, the centre will offer patients across Somerset faster and earlier access to diagnosis, including advanced MRI and CT scanning, as well as specialist cardiac and cancer imaging – all under one roof. This will help reduce waiting lists, improve patient outcomes, and deliver a significantly enhanced experience for the local community.

“I am proud to have worked with our Ergéa team and the trust on the design and delivery of this centre, and on the positive impact it will bring to the community. At Ergéa, this is how we make a difference   not only by providing technology, but by delivering a truly holistic project through our managed services, from conception to completion, that transforms patients’ lives.” – Gavin Brooksbank, head of implementation, Ergéa UK

“This is a fantastic project delivered in partnership with Ergéa, supporting the NHS 10-Year Plan by bringing high-quality imaging services closer to patients’ homes. The new centre will offer exceptional facilities and outstanding diagnostic services, making it easier and more convenient for people in Bridgwater to access the care they need locally. I am very much looking forward to welcoming our first patients and ensuring they receive an excellent experience in this state-of-the-art centre.”  –  David Craig, programme director for Somerset Foundation Trust
