STRUCTURE: Sheffield Children’s Foundation Trust is consulting on designs for a new hospital wing.
The organisation has put competing designs on its website. The £20-£30m project is a three-floor wing, due to be jointly funded through the trust and its charity.
Chief executive Simon Morritt said: “Six leading companies are working on ideas to give us a new hospital wing which can provide clinical care in the best possible way, will be cost effective, environmentally friendly, and adaptable for the changing needs of our population.
“We’re spending a lot of time talking to staff and patients about what we need in this new facility and are looking forward to seeing what the architects will produce.”
