COMMERCIAL: Shrewsbury and Telford Trust has appointed Capita Symonds to provide engineering services on a new build and refurbishment project.
The £35m redevelopment, at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, was announced last month.
The firm has said it will provide “civil, structural and mechanical and electrical engineering services” for the scheme, which will create a new 70,000 square foot women’s unit at Telford Hospital across two floors.
The contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction, with Aedas providing architecture services.
Work is expected to start on site in August 2012, with completion expected early in 2014.
