Consultant referrals create red risk at Telford and Wrekin

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust have reported that there have been a high number of clinically appropriate referrals.

The primary care trust will need to clinically review all referrals and then dispute those that it does not consider to be clinically appropriate. This process will cause a delay to the number of referrals reducing as planned.
