WORKFORCE: Solent Trust cut staff by 5.6 full time equivalents in February.
The cut gave the trust a “favourable variance” against plan of 7.6 FTE.
However March board papers said additional staffing was 17.1 FTE above plan “primarily due to higher than planned usage of agency, whilst bank, overtime and excess continue to be managed within planned targets”.
The year to date sickness rate was unchanged at 3.9 per cent, 0.9 per cent above the strategic health authority target.
Mental health had the highest absence rate with 5 per cent.
