WORKFORCE: The managing director of Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group has stood down from her role due to a conflict of interest.

An email to staff explained Jan Hull, NHS Somerset’s director of strategic development, had been seconded to the CCG as MD and was also supporting some of the work around development of a commissioning support service.

The email said she was “stepping back” from the CCG role to avoid a conflict of interest.

NHS Somerset’s director of primary care development David Slack will take up the Somerset CCG’s managing director role on a part time basis from 1 February.
