FINANCE: NHS London has agreed to release £10m it had topsliced from the south east London primary care trusts to bail out South London Healthcare Trust in a “transition year”.
A document released to HSJ under the Freedom of Information Act said: “The expenditure is required to support a transition year during which the recurrent activity baseline will be fully established and agreed by both the trust and commisioners.
“An identified robust recurrent baseline allows effective local decision making to deliver a sustainable health economy across the whole of south east London supported by a full business case.”
