STRUCTURE: A report prepared for NHS London said the South London Healthcare Trust was “currently being reviewed by McKinsey & Co and this is feeding into the options assessment around whether/when the organisation can achieve FT status in its current form”.

The document was prepared by NHS London’s Occupational Health Intelligence group, which is designed to keep the SHA apprised of performance and other issues with providers in the capital.

The reports are produced quarterly and the news McKinsey was looking at the trust’s viability was reported in March.

It also revealed South London Healthcare Trust’s total deficit for 2010-11 was estimated to be £40m.

The £459m turnover trust was created from a merger of three smaller ones in April 2009.
