PERFORMANCE: South Warwickshire FT has said that a review triggered by a mortality alert found there were not “evident shortcomings in care” at the trust.
Chief executive Glen Burley’s report to the March board meeting said: “Our response to the first Imperial College alert has now been submitted to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
“The response identified a series of coding inaccuracies which lead to the alert being triggered. That said we also undertook a full clinical case note review to explore whether there were any evident shortcomings in care. The review concluded that there were not.”
He also said a similar process was still being followed to a second alert.
