WORKFORCE: NHS South West Essex has reported that it will have 200 fewer staff for the 2011-12 financial year.
In his report to the PCT’s March board meeting, chief executive Andrew Pike said: “In view of the financial situation at South West Essex PCT, the staff reduction programme was continuing and a number of staff were leaving the organisation.
He said: “For the next financial year there would be 200 less staff across the organisation as a result of voluntary redundancies, voluntary resignations and compulsory redundancies.
Mr Pike added: “Both the chair and chief Executive commended the staff on their professionalism during this very difficult time.”
