STRUCTURE: Child and adolescent mental health services in Calderdale and Kirklees have transferred to South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust.

They were previously delivered by Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust but were put out to tender by commissioners.

Staff will transfer to the new service, although the service model is likely to be developed over the next few months.

Anna Basford, South West Yorkshire Partnership’s district director for Calderdale and Kirklees said: “ Our trust already provides CAMHS services in Barnsley and Wakefield so we were delighted when we were chosen to also provide the Calderdale and Kirklees service as it will ensure our skilled and experienced clinicians share their expertise for the benefit of young people across our area.

“Over the coming months we will continue to listen to and respond to feedback, to make sure the service meets local need and offers high quality care, tailored to individuals. Child and adolescent mental health services play a vital role in our local communities; helping young people to reach their potential.”
