PERFORMANCE: There were no areas of “good or improved performance” to note at Great Western Ambulance Service during December, a report to the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Board said.
The ambulance service reached 73.3 per cent of life threatening calls within eight minutes against a target of 75 per cent and 94.9 per cent within 19 minutes against a target of 95 per cent. The trust is meeting both targets year to date.
The BNSSG board heard performance had been particularly bad in rural areas of North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and the ambulance trust had introduced additional response cars in a bid to improve performance.
