STRUCTURE: Hampshire Partnership Foundation Trust has been renamed Southern Health Foundation Trust after acquiring Hampshire Community Healthcare.
The transfer of the community provider from NHS Hampshire, under the transforming community services programme, was authorised by Monitor with a financial risk rating of three and a governance risk rating of amber-green.
The new organisation will have two delivery arms: integrated community services and specialist mental health and learning disability services.
In her report to the board, chair Carol Bode said it was a “new era” for the organisation that would bring “real benefits for patients in the provision of integrated care, for the organisation in the ability to work more effectively and efficiently and for our staff in the opportunities that will begin to open up for them”.
