PERFORMANCE: Southern Health Foundation Trust has had its governance risk rating restored to amber-green, following a temporary breach of its own governance rules last year.

The trust’s board papers show that it received a letter from Monitor in December, informing it that its governance risk rating had been amended from amber-red to amber-green.

This was “to reflect the trust returning to compliance with its constitution following recent governor appointments.”

The trust’s quality governance framework “has been completely revised”, and forwarded to Monitor in December 2012. “We are awaiting feedback and indication whether this sufficient evidence of the robustness of quality governance arrangements to return the GRR to green,” the papers said.
