WORKFORCE: The HR and corporate affairs directors of NHS Southwark have raised concerns over the time-tabling of the management cost reductions.

The minutes of the trust’s board meeting of November 18 report that the process will have to be completed locally by April 18 and that redundancy notices may have to be issued before job interviews for other posts in the sector.

The document also records director of performance & corporate affairs Sean Morgan as highlighting that “the redeployment period is very tight” and there was a “major risk in delay of issue of redundancy notices which cannot then be retracted.”
