FINANCE: NHS South Staffordshire has had to release more than two thirds of its contingency reserves, which it has said it is a “cause for concern”.
At month five, £2.4m of the primary care trust’s £3.7m contingency reserve has been released - a slippage of £600,000.
A number of areas are under review with clinical commissioning groups to identify whether any more potential for slippage exists.
Additional QIPP schemes may be required to offset the risks
