WORKFORCE: Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership Trust  is urging staff to use internal whistleblowing systems for their complaints after the Care Quality Commission conducted an unannounced inspection based on anonymous ‘concerns’.

The CQC inspection came on 4 November last year.

Trust chief executive Stuart Poynor said in January board papers: “The CQC inspection was a direct response to the receiving anonymous letters of concern.

“I would like to reiterate both the trust board’s and my personal commitment to the importance of supporting NHS staff to raise any concerns about the way care or services are provided, and I absolutely pledge my support to any member of staff who wants to raise a concern.

“I would urge them to come forward via our existing routes.”
