PERFORMANCE: Stockport Foundation Trust has missed the national four-hour waiting target for accident and emergency services for the first two quarters of 2012-13, NHS Greater Manchester’s latest board papers state.

The primary care trust cluster’s October performance report adds: “Performance has been volatile, with the Trust achieving three weeks in July 2012 and then dropping significantly in August 2012.

“However, September 2012 is seeing improvement via micro management techniques so whilst performance is improving, sustainability continues to be an issue.”

It goes on to state that the FT and its local clinical commissioning group have “ supported further external review work from the Urgent Care Intensive Support Team and the actions to deliver greater resilience and sustainability will be informed by the outcomes of that work”.
