PERFORMANCE: The foundation trust left 111 ambulances queueing for longer than half an hour in the last week of January, new Department of Health figures show.
Ambulance queues outside Stockport NHS FT were the fifth worst in the country for the week of 24-30 January, a position the trust shared with Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
On two days that week, 25 January and 27 January, Stockport recorded 27 ambulances left queueing in a single day.
The only hospitals trusts with worse queueing problems that week were Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, and Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.
