WORKFORCE: A clinician who has helped to improve health services in Ethiopia is facing a new challenge in Suffolk.

Tessa Lindfield, who was until recently an advisor to the Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health, has been appointed director of public health for NHS Suffolk/Suffolk County Council role.

Ms Lindfield has over 25 years health service experience, working as a speech and language therapist in the UK and Australia as well as teaching at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. As acting director of public health at NHS Westminster and Westminster City Council she delivered health and healthy living projects as well as leading on strategies for suicide prevention, environmental sustainability and services for carers.
