PERFORMANCE NHS Suffolk has missed two cancer target in the last quarter of 2012, according to board papers.

The board papers said: “[The trust] continues to be successful in the achievement of the majority of cancer waiting times targets, although the targets for the ‘62 day consultant upgrade’ was not achieved for October or November whilst neither the ‘62 day referral to treatment’ or the ‘percentage of patients seen within two weeks of an urgent referral for breast symptoms’ were achieved in November.

“This was mainly due to capacity issues, patient choice and complex pathways.”
