WORKFORCE: David Lewis has been appointed to the board of NHS Surrey as a non executive director.
Mr Lewis will be the primary care trust’s new audit committee chair.
An economics graduate by background, he is currently treasurer for Kent Police Authority and is a non executive director and audit chair at NHS Eastern and Coastal Kent.
He has previously worked for Coventry City Council and Kent County Council, where he held a number of positions including finance director.
NHS Surrey chair David Clayton-Smith said: “David brings to us enormous experience of managing public funds. He has a strong combination of senior operational experience in managing complex budgets and NHS non executive director experience.”
The appointment as non executive director carries a remuneration of £13,136 per year.
