WORKFORCE: Surrey Community Health is holding a series of special open days this month to recruit healthcare staff “on the spot”.

The provider arm, which is currently out to tender under the transforming community services programme, is looking for bank staff to support the 3,500 staff it employs to deliver community services.

It is looking for nurses and healthcare assistants to work as bank staff to provide cover for permanent staff where necessary.

The open days will be held on 22 June, one at Ashford Clinic and one at Woking Hospital.

A press release from NHS Surrey said: “There will be the chance to apply for a job, have an interview, be offered a place and go through the occupational health process – all in one day! The idea is to take the hassle and inconvenience out of applying for work.”
