RESEARCH: The number of clinical research studies underway at Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust increased significantly over the last year.

The latest league table from the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network shows Sussex Partnership increased its number of clinical research studies from 30 in 2011-12 to 39 in 2012-13.

Mark Hayward, trust director of research and development, said: “We are very proud of the research culture that we have developed in Sussex Partnership and we’re starting to see evidence of how this impacts positively on the quality of our services.

“We have significant initiatives underway to further develop our collaborations with academic partners and people who use our services in order to take our research to the next level.”
