WORKFORCE: The foundation trust’s board papers said a consultation had begun on 14 February regarding changes to the Positive Behaviour Support Team in West Sussex.
The team supports people with learning disabilities who have severe challenging behaviour.
The consultation proposes that the service integrates with the West Sussex County Council care management team.
The board papers state: “These changes reflect the importance of commissioning high quality services for this group of people who are considered to be some of the most disadvantaged in society and trust staff will be in an important position to influence the development of these services.
“Nationally this is felt to be an innovative development.”
The new service will be called the Challenging Behaviour Commissioning and Support Team.
