WORKFORCE: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has appointed a new non executive director.

Richard Bayley has been appointed to serve on the board for a period of three years from 23 April 2012 to 22 April 2015. He is entitled to receive £13,000 a year.

He is a specialist in developing regulated businesses in the public/private sector and improving customer satisfaction together with stakeholder involvement.

Mr Bayley has spent the last six years as the research and planning director for the Places for People Group.

His previous career was in strategic planning and development for BAA plc where he was responsible for leading major developments including planning for Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport and transport planning for Gatwick.

John Bacon, chair of Sussex Partnership, said: “Richard’s experience in the public and private sector and especially his insights into customer satisfaction will be of benefit to Sussex Partnership.  Our focus is to develop services, maintain quality and improve the experience for our patients and carers.”
