FINANCE: NHS Swindon is developing £4m of additional savings plans after it used up all its contingency reserves by halfway through the financial year.

The PCT has a surplus target of £2.9m but is seeing pressure on commissioning budgets with overspends totalling £4m by October.

While it is still forecasting making the surplus, it has identified financial risks in its contract with Greater Western Hospital Foundation Trust, specialist commissioning and other acute contracts.
