WORKFORCE: Taunton and Somerset Foundation Trust has appointed a new chair who previously held board level positions at the Bank of England and Boston Consulting Group.
Colin Drummond, who also set up Taunton based recycling and waste management group Viridor, will succeed Ros Wyke who is coming to the end of eight years as chair at the trust.
Mr Drummond will take up the role in August.
Prior to becoming chair Ms Wyke was also a non-executive director at the trust for three years.
Trust chief executive Jo Cubbon welcomed Mr Drummond’s appointment and said Ms Wyke would be “greatly missed”.
She added: “In the past 11 years the NHS has undergone major changes and our hospital has faced many challenges along the way. Ros’ leadership and stewardship as a non-executive, vice chair and chair has been both forward-thinking and innovative, and the support and challenge she has given me in my role has been hugely beneficial.”
