PERFORMANCE: A report to Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust’s board said the organisation was beginning to lower its Caesarian section rate.
The trust has historically had a high rate of c-sections and is working to keep it below the 27 per cent threshold.
Its August total was 26.46 per cent and the year-to-date total 27.6 per cent.
The report said: “The implementation of the c-section action plan is continuing to drive improvements against this standard. This month the target was achieved and the year-end trajectory remains only marginally adrift.”
