PERFORMANCE: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, Foundation Trust failed to meet the 62 day cancer treatment target in August.

The board heard that performance was only at 82.5 per cent, against the target of 85 per cent, with the breaches including some patients where care was shared with tertiary providers.

The trust also had 38 people who waited more than six weeks for diagnostic investigations, principally endoscopes and echocardiograms. A report to the board said a plan was being worked up for a nurse endoscopist and additional Saturday morning sessions were being provided for echocardiograms.
