PERFORMANCE: More than 300 patients waited longer than four hours in A&E at King’s Lynn in December - bringing performance against the four hour standard down to 92.7 per cent for the month.

However, the trust remains above the 95 per cent target for the third quarter of the financial year.

Increased pressure on A&E has led to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn Foundation Trust asking the emergency care intensive support team to review the emergency care pathway across West Norfolk. The trust has also redesigned care for short stay patients in the department.
