STRUCTURE: The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation Trust has opened a new £313,000 national cancer facility for patients aged 13 to 24.
It will be used by patients with bone and soft tissue tumours from the West Midlands and across the UK.
The purpose built conservatory on the unit was broken into in August, days before patients were due to move in. Intruders stole multiple games consoles and vandalised DVD players, as well as a plasma TV.
The Teenage Cancer Trust, which funded the unit, had to replace the items at its own expense.
