PERFORMANCE: The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation Trust hit all Monitor’s compliance targets in quarter one of 2012-13.

These included the new target for incomplete pathways to be resolved within 18 weeks, which had been flagged as a risk to the foundation trust regulator in the provider’s quarter one declaration.

However, in board papers released to HSJ under the Freedom of Information Act the trust reported high rates of serious incidents requiring investigation, and high levels of patient falls.

The trust also picked up its first two reportable cases of C difficile in June, but remained below its year to date trajectory.
