FINANCE: The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals Trust is at “major” risk of becoming embroiled in a dispute with commissioners regarding over-performance.
Patient activity income is presently over performing for the year by £681,000, according to finance reports for January.
The 2009-10 over-performance has been agreed and as such there is a positive impact on 2010-11 of £776,000.
An analysis and review of over performance is being undertaken internally to provide a counter proposal to the primary care trust.
Discussions with commissioning colleagues are taking place to agree a way forward.
