COMMERCIAL: Torbay Care Trust has facilitated the purchase of software system for Torbay and Southern Devon CCG to monitor their performance against the quality and outcomes framework.
It is hoped Contract+ from Informatica Systems, part of the BMJ Group, will also help improve the efficiency of recalling patients with long term conditions.
Mark Thomas, practice manager at Chelston Hall Surgery said: “Contract+ analyses the QOF indicators for a patient in real time and this is displayed in a prompt window within the patient’s electronic record so that each GP can quickly assess which indicators are outstanding and what needs to be done.
“The adoption of Contract+ ensures that we will standardise practices across the Torbay region without changing clinical IT systems and the associated costs which this would incur.”
