Number 10 has so far announced two junior ministerial appointments at the Department of Health, including one Liberal Democrat.
Paul Burstow has been Liberal Democrat MP for Sutton and Cheam since 1997 when he became a spokesman on the environment and later on social security. At the 2001 general election he was made health spokesman and a keen interest in social care issues. In the last parliament he was a member of the public accounts committee.
Simon Burns has been a Conservative MP since 1987. He was a parliamentary under-secretary of state at the DH between 1996 and 1997. He also served as a shadow health minister before 2005.
Ministerial portfolios have not yet been announced.
