PERFORMANCE: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust says it is experiencing a high demand for beds and services.
The trust said it has been forced to open extra beds after high demand at all three of its hospitals - Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital in Boston and Grantham and District Hospital.
It issued a statement today (Monday) asking members of the public to only use A&E if absolutely necessary or to call NHS 111.
It added: “To cope with the demand, the hospital has opened additional beds and is being supported by local commissioners and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to ensure that beds are freed up when possible.”
