STRUCTURE: The ownership of Louth Hospital has temporarily transferred to NHS Lincolnshire from United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.

NHS Lincolnshire has also announced plans to spend £4.25m to refurbish two wards at Louth Hospital and has appointed Kier Health to carry out the work. It will also tackle a backlog of maintenance at the hospital which will start in summer 2013 and be completed by summer 2014.

The ownership of Louth Hospital will transfer ultimately into NHS Property Services Ltd, the new estates arm of the NHS.
