PERFORMANCE: Many patients in Lincolnshire faced a long wait for A&E in December when performance at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust slumped to 90 per cent against the four hour standard.

At Boston, only 80 per cent of patients were seen in this time.

NHS Lincolnshire board members also heard of concerns over other standards with the trust classified as underperforming against the NHS Performance Framework for four successive quarters ‘one of only two trusts to do so.’   On the standards for vital signs, the trust was third lowest out of 69 non foundation trusts nationally.

The trust - which is the main provider for NHS Lincolnshire -is significantly overperforming on day case surgery and outpatient performance against plan.
