PERFORMANCE: The central London acute trust received level three accreditation after a two-day assessment by the NHS Litigation Authority.
The achievement means the trust will pay less in premiums to the NHSLA.
A report to the trust’s board this month said: “There are only five other trusts in London who have met this standard. The annual savings for the trust will be £591,000 based on the 2011-12 gross premiums.
“This is an outstanding achievement for the trust as it gives an important measure of assurance to the board that risk management is taken very seriously and that the trust is a safe place for patients, staff and visitors.”
