FINANCE: A quarter of University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust’s planned cost improvement savings are non recurrent.
December board papers say that of the £24m identified savings, £6.3m are one-off savings which cannot be repeated year on year.
Savings worth £3.9m were amber-rated, while £400,000 were red-rated.
At the end of November £12.8m had been saved, £1m behind plan.
The trust’s year to date surplus was £3.3m, £196,000 worse than planned.
