PERFORMANCE: Ninety eight per cent of older people surveyed at University Hospitals Southampton Foundation Trust rated their care as good, very good or excellent.

The rate was slightly better than for all patients at the trust, 96 per cent of whom gave a positive response.

December board papers said 79 per cent of patients said they would “definitely” recommend the hospital to their family and friends, 92 per cent said they were “always” treated with privacy and dignity, and 89 per cent said they had confidence and trust in the nurses caring for them.
