PERFORMANCE: Patients at University Hospitals Southampton Foundation Trust scored worse than most trusts on mixed sex accommodation, according to a survey conducted by the Care Quality Commission.
The CQC’s report on the trust said that the trust performed worse than most others on patients reporting sharing a sleeping area with patients of the opposite sex, and having to use the same bathroom or shower area as patients of the opposite sex.
Patients at Southampton were more bothered by noise at night by hospital staff than in most other trusts.
Overall the trust scored worse than most on indicators related to the hospital ward.
It didn’t do better than most trusts on any indicators.
