PERFORMANCE: University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust has been given strong ratings from patients on its emergency services.

The trust scored better overall than most other trusts on A&E according the Care Quality Commission patient survey, with particularly strong performance on how much information was given to patients about their condition or treatment while in emergency care.

The trust was also highly rated on several other scores related to patient information.

It only scored worse than most trusts on one of 70 indicators, due to high rates of patient reported delayed discharges.
