WORKFORCE: University Hospitals Bristol Foundation Trust will pay normal rates to staff working the royal wedding bank holiday on 29 April.
Local union representatives agreed with the proposal. It follows the rejection of a national proposal from NHS Employers by unions.
NHS Employers had proposed that anyone working on 29 April would receive a day off in lieu, while everyone else would have a day’s paid annual leave. But unions rejected the deal, arguing that staff working on the day should receive overtime payments
