COMMERCIAL: The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust has awarded a £255,000 contract to construction firm Stepnell to build a new Macmillan Cancer Support Information Centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The single-storey drop-in centre will provide information, advice and support services for people diagnosed with cancer.
Grantham-based Stepnell will build an extension to the existing Osborne Building entrance with the centre due to be completed in May 2012.
There will also be a turfed area and decking.
Stepnell managing director Mark Wakeford said: “We are excited to be working with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust to create this new home for the Macmillan information centre.”
