PERFORMANCE: University Hospitals of Leicester Trust has been issued with a performance notice due to its failure to consistently hit the accident and emergency target.
Although the trust is currently achieving the target to see 95 per cent of patients within four hours, the “fluctuations in daily performance at UHL are cause for concern” according to board papers.
NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland sought assurance during November, and agreed a number of actions with the provider.
However the position has deteriorated and a performance notice has been sent with a requirement to return to 95 per cent cumulative performance within one month
