FINANCE: The foundation overspent its budget by £349,000 in December, against a plan to make a surplus of £520,000 for the month.
It finished with a year-to-date deficit of £255,000, against a plan to underspend by £1,649,000 up to that point. The foundation finished the month with a financial risk rating of 3 for the third quarter of the financial year. Its December finance report stated: “The year to date deficit has improved, but this is as a result of the accounting adjustments made for partially completed spells, as discussed at previous board meetings.”
It added: “The Trust’s forcasted year end position and resulting financial risk ratings will be reported separately.”
