STRUCTURE: Plymouth Hospitals Trust’s Royal Eye Infirmary will move into purpose built facilities at the trust’s main site this month as part of plans to enhance the opthalmology services.
The first operations at Derriford Hospital are scheduled for 30 January. The REI provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment options for conditions of the eye. The existing building is well over 100 years old and is no longer suitable for the developing service.
